Made it to Guangzhou!

Well, yesterday was a busy day. We flew out of Zhengzhou and made it to Guangzhou. Hannah had a hard day yesterday. She was very tired and Ray was trying to take her toys. Hannah decided that she would like to give Ray back!!! Today Hannah is doing a lot better and thinks she would like to keep him!!! Whew!!!

Today we did the red couch photos. We did some shopping but it is very different here this time. Some of the shops have closed and the ones that are open they are very aggressive in their selling. The econonmy and slower adoptions have really changed Guangzhou from 5 years ago. Tomorrow we all go for medical exams of the children.

  1. So happy you all made it! Love all the pics especially the one of your family on the red couch! You all look great and really not tired at all. Hope you sleep well and can't wait to hear from you tomorrow!

  3. Guangzhou = the last leg of the trip! We didn't like the high-pressure sales tactics in G'zhou either! Our favorite store was Gift from China; they didn't bother us at all, the prices were reasonable, and all the proceeds go to orphanages. Ray sounds like quite a little character! Looking forward to meeting him!

  4. Cathie! It is SOOOO great to "see" you all and your beautiful new son! Congratulations! I can't wait to read more of your blog. But, had to comment and say that when I was there last summer - I noticed the same thing - BIG change in the atmosphere on the island compared to our first trip. Strange and sad. But, I enjoyed Lucy's the Cow & Bridge and getting a WONDERFUL massage at the place by the river! And of course - Starbucks was a nice addition! =)
